Sunset over Hongping’s eel ponds

Hongping

There are no shortcuts in eel farming.

We apply what we have learned about size grading and day-to-day farm management to live eel distribution and processed eel supply.

Building our understanding of eels through daily farm work.

Hongping draws on forty years of eel farming across two generations. Daily feeding and observation, along with separating eels into different ponds and grading them as they grow, have taught us how they develop and when they are ready for shipment.

Processed Eel Supply

Eels supplied from the farm are processed into kabayaki and frozen raw eel fillets by partner plants in Taiwan. Product specifications are confirmed against the buyer’s requirements.
